Ingrid Pinel, Operations Manager
Ingrid Pinel possesses 30 years of know-how within the conference management industry and has spent her professional career life organizing others in a learning capacity. She gained grass roots knowledge as Conference Services Manager at the University of British Columbia Conference Center (UBC). Ingrid has planned and executed many varying disciplines and sizes of conferences (200 – 10,000) during her 20-year tenure at UBC, including the International Physiology Conference and Trade Show, the International Gastroentrology Conference and Trade Show, International Conference and Trade Show of Geodesy and Geophysics, among others.

Ingrid's sound operational management skills, including full service solutions and systems background knowledge, are a rare and valuable asset to our clients and for our organization. Ingrid is responsible for the overall company approach to meeting client's conference and event management needs with the members of the Advance Group team.

Ingrid is an active MPI BC Chapter member, and a previous Board Member from 1998 – 2002. Ingrid won recognition for her conference expertise when she was awarded the prestigious 2000-2001 MPI Meeting Planner of the Year award. Ingrid's other awards include MPI Supplier of the Year for 1998-1999, as well as a certificate from Simon Fraser University's Foundation Program in Management for Women.
